Day 1 & 2 : Kandy | Hotel : Chayya Citadel | Meals : Breakfast
Upon arriving in Sri Lanka, We will be travelling to Kandy after our morning breakfast. Kandy is approximately 110km from the airport, a drive towards the hill country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kingsand is a World Heritage Site. The name "Kandy" conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Drive around the Kandy Lake, built by the last Sinhala king in 1798. You will be visiting the famous Royal Botanical Gardens, the Maligawa (Castle), Kandy bazaar, the arts and crafts center, a gem museum and a lapidary. On the way to Kandy En route to the Pinnawala Elephant orphanage, which is the world’s first Elephant orphanage. During the evening witness a cultural show (Optional).
Places of interest : The temple of the tooth, Pinnawela elephant orphanage, Royal botanical garden, Kandy Lake & Kandy Museum, Meeramakan Mosque.
Day 2 & 3 : Nuwara Eliya | Hotel : St. Andrew Hotel | Meals : Breakfast
NuwaraEliya is a further drive towards hill country and it is known as the ‘Little England” because of its natural and environmental appearance and its atmosphere. It is about 70 kms from Kandy. While visiting the Tea Estates, you could see the tea manufacturing process, the famous Nuwera Eliya Gardens, and also many natural water falls as well. A tour of Adam’s peak, widely believed by the locals as Prophet Adam’s foot print has been imprinted at the peak of the mountain (Optional).
Places of interest: Devon, St Claire's & Bambarakanda falls, Gregory Lake, Hakgala Botanical Gardens, Mackwoods Labookellie Tea Centre, Tea Plantations, Victoria Park of NuwaraEliya, NuwaraEliya golf club, Adam’s Peak & World’s End.
Day 4 & 5 : Bentota | Hotel : Tangerine Beach Hotel | Meals : Breakfast
After touring the hills you will be descending down towards the coastal area of Bentota. Bentota Beach is a sprawling beach side hotel that also adjacent the scenic Bentota River. This west coast town of Bentota is located about two hours south of Colombo and an hour south of the historic town of Galle. You will be relaxing yourself at the Bentota Beach hotel for two nights.
Places of interest: Brief Garden, Lunuganga, Turtle Hatchery Project, Boat trip on Bentota River, Batik Factory, Glass bottom Boat ride on the coral reef.
Day 6 & 7 : Negombo | Hotel : Club Hotel Dolphin | Meals : Breakfast
Negombo is approximately a 20 minute’s drive from the Airport. It is one of the famous fishing villages in Sri Lanka. All the fish catches are auctioned here in the early morning hours and it is a very interesting and a very busy place. Negombo Lagoon is very famous for its prawns, and it is the largest lagoon in Sri Lanka.You can rest the day along the beautiful beaches of Negombo.
Day 8 : Airport
Early in the morning you will be checking out from the hotel for departure. We hope you will enjoy your stay in this beautiful and friendly Island of Sri Lanka and wish you a happy, memorable and enjoyable journey.
