Itinerary
Day 01 ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at airport transfer to the hotel and check in at hotel. Overnight in Almaty.
Day 02 CHARYN, KOLSAY LAKE
After breakfast drive straight to the Charyn Canyon, on the way brief stop at Black Canyons. At Charyn Canyon - short hike one way 2 km, it's not difficult on flat area hike - walking takes about 30 min - 40 min one way on the way back Eco taxi to the parking place by Charyn Open Air Taxi Safari Canyon has tiny stones road which is sleeper and need to carry backpack full of water. no up and downs easy.
After that continue trip to lake Kolsay - 2 h another drive - on the way. Explore lake Kolsay 1 hike near lake check in Hotel Kolsay - advantage of this hotel is its one of the nearest to the lake with amazing view to the lake at breakfast.
Day 03 LAKE KAINDY
After Breakfast drive to lake Kaindy. Short hike 2 km one way - on horseback riding - would be unforgettable experience for your family.
Visit a Kazakh village for lunch (where you will be introduced with local culture and Kazakh hospitality) at the end you can experience life in village.
Day 04 ETHNIC VILLAGE
After Breakfast visit a Kazakh village where you will see folklore performances. Welcome greeting by two warriors wearing the armors designed in the style of Saka Period and the hostess greeting the guests with national ritual called Shashu. After that Baursaks Kazakh puffy bread master class cooking 10 min.
Then Acquaintance with the construction of a Kazakh yurt and its sacral meaning for a nomad. Acquaintance with old time Kazakh housekeeping duties: whisking wool, spindle yarn making, hand flour grinding, baby lullabying in Besik (cradle), Tusau Kesu. Following we will be witnessing Sarbaz Nomad Group performance.
After Lunch National Horse Games:
- Jigitovka - horseback riding with acrobatic elements
- Atpen audaryspak (struggling and pushing a rival while horse riding)
- Kyz kuu game (chasing a girl by horse for kissing her, in case of failure she lashes him)
Kara Zhorga (traditional Kazakh dance) Horseback riding.
Proceeding with National archery master class and then transfer back to hotel.
Day 05 AYUSAI GORGE AND SHYMBULAK SKI RESORT
After breakfast drive to Ayusai - visit Visitor Center and do very short hike to the waterfall then proceed to Shymbulak ski resort Intro and excursion at the Resort with guide. Back to hotel around 6-7 p.m.
Day 06 SHOPPING DAY & SUN CITY TOUR
After Breakfast, Suncity tour covering 28th Panfilov Park outdoor, Green Market indoor - chocolate factory Rakhat, Instrumental Museum, Arbat square. Evening shopping tour in Panfilov street & Flexible scheme.
Day 07 DEPARTURE
After Breakfast, Transfer to the airport for departure.
